SUB5 is in it's
12 year!!
Janet created
this camp because she never found another camp that
told the whole story. Janet believes that the
athlete must have a level of understanding about
the mental and physical side of the sport. The
athlete must be both "mind-Fit" and "Body-Fit".
Just going on runs is not enough. There is so much
more to teach and learn and continually learn.
"I want to
positively impact every camper. I want the camper
to understand the power of self-believe. I want her
to reach for the stars and understand how to make
her dreams come true!"

Janet was known as one of the
toughest mental competitors out in the field. She designed
the "Mind-Fit" program to give the athlete the tools
to increase focus and self-discipline. Today, Janet works
with many high school and collegiate programs utilizing the
"Mind-Fit" program.
"I believe many runners
are missing a key element in their training and that is a
strong mental preparation program. I designed the
"Mind-Fit" program to guide the athlete to achieve the
highest level of success! I would like to teach it to
you!"
Janet's coaching career started at
the University of Arkansas under head coach Lance
Harter.
Currently, she is a stay
at home mom with two kids and runs a small private coaching
and motivational speaking business.
Janet designed a "Mind-Fit" program
to teach athletes and individuals self empowerment. Janet
has worked with the New England Coaches Association,
University of Illinois, Northwestern University, Illinois
State University, MITCA, and Cortez, Colorado's Pinon
Projects.
Janet private coaches high school
distance runners in the off season. She is a running
mechanic specialist and works with athletes to improve
his/her efficiency. Janet also works with soccer and
football players to improve speed and agility. Power
training is a big part of her program. Janet believes the
off season is a time to work on technique, strength,
flexibility, and the cardiovascular system.
SUB5 is a camp that Janet designed
to teach the young girl distance runner the whole sport. She
believes in teaching the physical side and the mental side
of running. Janet believes in a hands on approach. She only
brings on staff that want to work with young athletes and
spend the time reaching out to other runners.
NEW FOR THE SUMMER OF 2008
Janet will be launching her Narcessian's Running Mechanic
Training Program. The program is a motor learning sequence
of training that teaching the body and the mind how to fire
the muscles correctly. The program includes learning safe
and effective lower body squats and upper body squats. How
to combine the two. How to do a lunge safely and correctly.
How to walk up and down steps safely and effectively. HOW TO
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF POWER IN THE BODY. We will be doing this
through a level of understanding of how gravity and momentum
works. This is all done in an interactive inspiring session
that will leave you thinking and self correcting. You will
learn how to run up and down hill safely and effectively. I
challenge you to come out and see!!
