Camp Saw-waw-nas-see (Northern Illinois 4-H Camp Association) Manteno, Illinois

Eligibility: Any female camper age 12-18, is eligible to participate in camp. For campers of all levels of ability and experience.

Cabins:
The 8 Rustic Woodland area cabins house 10 campers per building with a separate modern toliet/shower facility. All room assignments will be made prior to registration. If you would like a special cabin-mate, please note that on your application. In absence of a special request, we try to place campers of similar ages together.

Supervision: The coaching staff will supervise Participants during the instructional sessions and off times. Attendance will be taken at all sessions; bed checks are taken at 10:30 p.m. and lights are out at 11:00 p.m.

Location & Transportation: Camp Saw-waw-nas-see's 100 plus acres of forest and rolling meadows is located 40 miles south of Chicago on Route 102 adjacent to the 3,000 acre Kankakee River State Park. An Amtrak train station and bus station are located in Kankakee/Boubonnais. Arrangements for transportation from these sites to campus are available. Local airports are Midway and O'Hare in Chicago. Transportation from these sites are available but you must call for details (limited spots available)!

Rules and Regulations: Any actions deemed detrimental to the health and safety of oneself or to the other campers, or to the destruction of property will result in immediate dismissal from camp without refund.

Cancellations/ Refund Policy: Your camp fee, less a $50.00 non-refundable administrative fee will be refunded, if you cancel before June 1, 2009. Any cancellations after that will be refunded, less the $50.00 fee, with a signed excuse from a physician.
